How can we protect human rights defenders at risk?

Human rights defenders stand up for the rights of their communities and for all of us. For this, they are celebrated by many. But they are also threatened, silenced, shamed online and even killed. How can organisations, governments and individuals contribute to their protection? To explore the possible initiatives to support Human Right Defenders at Risk, the Norwegian Human Rights Fund invites you to a panel conversation, where we discuss some of the challenges and opportunities of different initiatives together with relevant actors. Among others, human rights defender and lawyer from Sri Lanka and current participant in the rest and respite programme Oslo Breathing Space City, Suren Perera, will take part in this panel conversation and share first-hand experiences with the audience.
